Frequently asked questions

How long do microgreens stay fresh?

Our micro-mixes stay fresh for 10-14 days from the date of harvest. Be sure to store them in the refrigerator and keep the lid on tight to keep them from wilting.

How do I use microgreens?

Use them anywhere you’d add fresh greens or herbs - on eggs, sandwiches, salads, bowls, or any dish just before serving. We don't recommend heating or cooking microgreens into dishes. Add instant colour, texture, and flavour to any meal!

Are your microgreens organic?

We’re not certified organic, but everything we grow is 100% spray and chemical-free.

We focus on clean growing methods that keep your food as close to nature as possible.

Our microgreens are grown using high-quality soil made specifically for microgreens, and filtered UV treated rainwater. No corner cutting or mystery liquid fertilisers to enhance yields.

What steps are you taking towards sustainability?

Our packaging is home compostable and curb-side recyclable in Australia. Simply tear the kraft container up into smaller pieces before adding to your compost bin. The lid is made from plastic and will need to be put in your curb-side yellow recycling bin.

Why use plastic instead of PLA (plant made plastics)?
We don't believe Australia has the infrastructure to support and process PLA plastics yet. PLA plastics are not recyclable and require a special high temperature composting facility to break down the plant material. PLA plastics that are incorrectly recycled pollute the recycling system that degrades the quality of recycled plastic resulting in additional landfill.

What steps are you taking towards reducing waste?

All our microgreens are grown to order. This ensures we're not growing anything that isn't needed.
