It started with a niggling desire to get his hands dirty again.
During the 2019 lockdown, when Guy's job as musician/producer came to a pause, he developed a thirst to do something new - something that was completely different to music.
“I had an idea of plunging my hands into soil - an idea centred around gardening, nurturing, and growing. I started to focus on my health, and I knew I wasn’t eating enough veggies. Sourcing good quality produce was hard for me, and whenever I bought leafy greens they just didn’t last.”
After coming across micro-greens, Guy became fascinated in how these densely sprouted little seedlings contained so much more nutritional content than their fully grown counterparts, and how they could be grown anywhere, year round in a controlled environment.
He started his journey as a micro-farmer - growing living micro-green trays for local restaurants and families, and selling punnets through his family farm store and local farmer’s markets.
